Joe Tung wasn’t kidding when he told me Halo: Reach is Bungie’s most ambitious project to date. The game is positively packed! From its deep, though sadly short, campaign to its full-featured and continually expanding multiplayer modes, and Forge, it’s an action-packed festival of carnage. Being a prequel, there were a number of constraints Bungie had to deal with in terms of gameplay and story, but they pulled it off nicely, both introducing space combat and closing the story loop (I won’t ruin how). It’s still your standard first-person shooter, but for Halo fans, it should be more than enough.
