Bungie Studios announced today that a new multiplayer map pack will be launching for Halo: Reach next month. Developed in partnership with Certain Affinity, the Defiant Map Pack will introduce three new multiplayer arenas – Condemned, Highlands and Unearthed – into the game, taking players from a giant orbital station to a civilian mining site and a military training facility. Condemned takes you aboard Orbital Station Gamma, high above Reach. The station was badly damaged during the Covenant assault, only leaving a few sections intact. It supports 6-12 players for Team Slayer, Team Objective and Free for All.
Highlands will take you to Reach’s top-secret Military Wilderness Training Preserve. It’s a vast wooded area that allows for 8-16 players in Big Team Battle, Team Slayer and Team Objective Finally, Unearthed will take you into the heart of a large Titanium mine and refinery in the Viery sector of Reach. It allows up to four players to take part in Firefight and Generator Defense modes. The Defiant Map Pack will be available via Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points and will include new Achievements worth a total 150 Gamerscore. The specific release date has not yet been announced.
